In the nineteenth century the real center of Zakopane was Kuźnice, it was there that the sawmill, the manor house and, above all, the smelters, known here as hamras, were located. In turn, the most productive mines where metal ores were extracted were located in the Koscieliska Valley. Not surprisingly, the so-called "iron road" connected the outlet of this very valley with the hamer smelters. Its long stretch of eight kilometers is known today as Droga pod reglami. It is a favorite walking route for Zakopane residents and tourists. On the southern side, hugged by the Tatra National Park, it offers a wealth of excursions into the alpine valleys, while to the north there are wide panoramas of Zakopane, the Gubalowskie Range and further into Podhale.
The closest part of the Droga pod reglami from us is at the exit of the Strążyska Valley, about 800 m from our facility.
